Queen Anne Public Areas
Queen Anne’s public areas are designed for exploration and relaxation, offering a wide range of spaces for dining, entertainment, and leisure, from the grand atrium to intimate lounges and vibrant outdoor terraces.
David Collins Studio was inspired by Cunard’s innovative vision for Queen Anne, to collaborate with three design studios new to maritime design - with Adam Tihany at the helm as Creative Director, to direct synergy in the design process. We were delighted to work on 18 areas onboard, including the Grand Lobby, several bars and restaurants and the most premium Queens Grill Suite accommodation. Many of these offers are Cunard signatures, that the Studio celebrated yet reimagined, with timeless glamour at their centre…. All our designs were guided by extensive research at the University of Liverpool Cunard Archive, whilst ensuring that the finished product is forward thinking for the next chapter of Cunard’s Queens.

One of the stand out spaces is The Pavilion, an idyllic open sir oasis on the top deck, which features a specially designed glass dome roof that retracts in warmer climes.

The signature deep green colour scheme for the games rooms hints back at the traditional green baize used on card and games tables set against accents of yellow and light green creates a scheme that also hints back at tradition but with contemporary furniture and lighting. This also gives the Games room its very own strong identity through colour and design details. Whimsical carpet designs and the way we are layering in artwork and decorative lighting makes this feel like a warm and residential space that guests can spend many hours in.

Queen Anne's public areas are the heart of the ship, offering guests a dynamic array of spaces to relax, socialise, and indulge. At the centre of the ship lies the magnificent Grand Lobby, a triple-height atrium spanning three decks. With sweeping staircases, luxurious marble floors, and bespoke Art Deco details, this space provides the perfect spot for guests to meet, take in the stunning architecture, or enjoy a drink at the adjoining Lobby Bar, Chart Room, or Carinthia Lounge. Nearby, the Drawing Room offers a stately home-inspired retreat, ideal for reading, relaxing, or enjoying a quiet conversation.
For those who prefer a more active space, the Games Room provides a playful setting with board games, card games, and lectures, all set within an abstract geometric design. The Library, inspired by Cunard's rich history, offers a collection of literature and a tranquil environment for relaxation, complete with bespoke writing desks.
The Grills Terrace, an exclusive outdoor venue, provides sun loungers, whirlpools, and private dining for guests in the premium suites. Meanwhile, The Pavilion, spanning two decks, offers a versatile venue for live performances, film screenings, and relaxation, with a retractable glass dome allowing guests to enjoy both indoor and outdoor experiences.
Each public space on Queen Anne reflects the ship’s dedication to elegance, luxury, and guest comfort, ensuring every moment on board is memorable.
