The London Collection Act II for Promemoria

A refined collaboration between Promemoria and David Collins Studio, The London Collection Act II blends Italian craftsmanship with British design heritage through versatile, tactile pieces inspired by London’s architectural landscape.

The new collection, titled ‘London Collection- Act II’, comprises nine distinct pieces – a sofa, a loveseat, a chaise longue, an armchair, a cabinet, side tables, a desk, plus a dining table and coordinating chairs – each a balance between classical craftsmanship and modern sensibility.

This collaboration brings together the British sensibility of our London-based Studio with the Italian design excellence of Promemoria. It is a fascinating and highly creative process, continually refining and developing the designs as we build the collection. It was important for the new pieces to be an extension of the previous collection. Certain design details have been carried through, honouring the past whist reflecting contemporary living. This means that you can combine pieces from across the collections.

The London Collection Act II is the latest evolution of the ongoing collaboration between Italian luxury furniture maker Promemoria and celebrated British design practice David Collins Studio. First launched in 2015, the original collection took inspiration from London’s garden squares. A decade on, this new chapter reimagines the partnership with a lighter, more natural sensibility—both in palette and materiality.

Designed in response to shifting lifestyles and tastes, the collection explores the interplay between refined craftsmanship and versatile functionality. Comprising nine elegant pieces, including modular sofas, occasional tables, cabinetry, and dining seating, the designs are tailored for contemporary living while honouring the legacy of early 20th century Art Deco influences. The soft palette of blush, muted greens and delicate lilacs—combined with natural linens, bouclé fabrics, brushed oak and bronze—creates a tactile and harmonious collection that feels both timeless and current.

Each piece has been conceived with multifunctionality in mind. From the adaptable Chiswick Modular Sofa to the compact Battersea Nesting Tables, flexibility is central to the collection’s design ethos. Meanwhile, standout items such as the Richmond Cabinet showcase Promemoria’s exquisite marquetry and finish, reinforcing the brand’s hallmark attention to detail.

Handcrafted by artisans at Promemoria’s workshop on the shores of Lake Como, the pieces reflect a shared obsession with quality, detail and enduring elegance. The collection also pays subtle tribute to London’s architecture, with each piece named after one of the city’s iconic bridges.

Presented during Milan Design Week 2025, The London Collection Act II celebrates a decade of creative collaboration between two design houses that continue to push boundaries. Marking David Collins Studio’s 40th anniversary, it is a testament to the enduring power of craftsmanship, creativity and cultural dialogue between Italy and the UK.
